As a woman and almost 60 it has seemed odd to some people that I should choose to return to the country of my birth and childhood by driving. The only reason that people think it is odd is that it is into Africa. If I was driving across Europe or the Americas, many people would think nothing of it. But as a mature, white woman it seems I must have lost my mind.
I can assure you I have not but it seems that I have come to a place in time and my life where I feel that my journey is important not only to myself but to women as a whole, to the countries in Africa who would benefit from tourism and to my country which in this time of change needs strong people with knowledge to support its future.
I am appealing for contributions from people who would like to see me succeed, as it is not an undertaking to be made lightly and having no personal wealth I am relying on my past good deeds to count for something when I need it.
